Biltema currently has a total of 172 stores in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland, of which 64 stores are located in Sweden. Biltema is a strong brand in an exciting expansion, planning to open around 50 new stores in the Nordic region in the coming years.

What to Expect from the Position

As the Department Manager for the café, you will be responsible for the daily operations, coordinating the café's activities, and ensuring that the business continuously develops and improves. You will ensure weekly and daily planning for the café based on preparation, orders, and customer flow, and actively work with optimized store inventory and upselling. The role includes responsibility for maintaining order and cleanliness in the department, ensuring that the product range follows Biltema's guidelines and goals, and that the café is an inviting environment for our customers.

You will coach your colleagues in optimal customer service and ensure, with the help of training, guidance, instructions, and follow-up work, that the employees in the department possess the right skills. As the Department Manager, you will also handle the café's inventory, ensure that food safety procedures are followed, and be responsible for ensuring that the work environment in the café complies with applicable laws, agreements, and procedures.

The position is a permanent employment that begins with a 6-month probationary period.

To thrive in this role, you have likely worked in retail or the restaurant industry for several years, have a genuine interest in the café, and feel ready for a new challenge.

As a person, you enjoy taking initiative, have a sense for sales and service – for you, it is a given to go the extra mile to create results. You also have an eye for creating appealing and inviting environments and find it enjoyable to face challenges in the form of new or temporary tasks.

It is important that you have an interest in the café operations that you will be responsible for, as this is a prerequisite for succeeding in your role. Since you will have several employees to assist you as a Department Manager, it is important that you can communicate the goals and the path to achieve them. Personal suitability will be highly valued.
